Also known by the name “Spanish Jennet”
A small Spanish bred horse suitable for traveling and light cavalry
It was noted to have a compact, well-muscled build and a good temperament
Possessed a natural ambling gate
Known to have Barb and Arabic influences
Because of it’s size, smooth gait and quiet temper the Jennet was a popular riding and traveling horse for noble ladies
Modern day comparisons include ; Modern Spanish Jennet, Paso Fino, Peruvian Paso and Criollo
